Southbound Stock Connect was a net buyer of yuan 2.603 billion today. Via Shanghai Connect, AIA and Xiaomi Group-W led net buys at HKD 729 mln and HKD 713 mln; Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC) was the largest net seller at HKD 308 mln. Via Shenzhen Connect, Xiaomi Group-W and Tencent Holdings registered net buys of HKD 261 mln and HKD 193 mln; CNOOC was the top net seller at HKD 697 mln.

At its Oct. 12, 2026 interim results briefing, Fuxin Technology said its Micro TEC for communications achieves higher gross margins than its prior consumer-electronics TEC. The company said future order size and profit contribution from TEC-related businesses will depend on changes in market supply and demand and remain uncertain.

Codelco said a mudslide driven by severe weather in central Chile struck the open‑pit Cráter Norte area of its El Teniente mine at about 1400 local time on Sunday, trapping two workers. Three workers were in the area; one was rescued and taken to hospital, the locations of the other two have been identified and rescue operations are ongoing. The incident follows a fatal accident at another Codelco‑operated mine less than two weeks ago. The episode is the latest setback for Chile, the world’s largest copper producer, which is contending with output declines, operational disruptions and rising labour tensions while copper trades near record highs.
