Federal agents searched Representative Ilhan Omar’s Washington-area residence on
Monday, the Justice Department said. DOJ said Homeland Security Investigations
executed a judge-approved search warrant obtained by the department. The search
is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation; DOJ did not identify the
property owner. Trump administration officials have said agencies are probing
Omar’s immigration background. Omar has denied wrongdoing and called the
allegations false and politically motivated.
