Central Bank of Congo says it will use foreign-exchange reserves to intervene if inflation continues to rise.

At the 2026 Guoxin Expo, Shanghai official Tong Wenkang said the city's integrated circuits industry reached about CNY580 bln in 2025, roughly 30% of China’s total. Output continued to expand in Jan–Aug this year, with YoY growth exceeding 20%. Shanghai now hosts more than 1,200 IC firms and about 40% of China’s industry talent; the city’s IC talent competitiveness ranks among the top global cities.

Spot gold opened slightly lower on Monday, trading at $4,193/oz. Spot silver opened slightly higher, at $60.85/oz.
