CSRC deputy office director Wang Li told the Financial Street Forum on Oct. 12 that over the past five years the regulator has pushed higher-quality market development and the Beijing Stock Exchange has operated safely and fulfilled its functions. She said the CSRC will, under the 15th Five-Year Plan outline, promote integrated high-quality development of the Beijing Stock Exchange and the New Third Board (NEEQ), explore systems and practices better suited to innovative SMEs, deepen reform and product innovation, and strengthen market functions to support China’s development as a financial power and high-quality economic growth.
