Saudi forces intercepted ballistic missiles fired by Yemen’s Houthi militia late
Monday after the group aimed strikes at Riyadh and KHAMIS MUSHAIT near the Yemen
border, authorities said, and alerts were issued to residents. Riyadh’s main
international airport has been hit in successive days. The attacks have killed
at least 18 and injured more than 300 — the deadliest toll in Saudi Arabia since
February, when US and Israeli operations against Iran began. The violence poses
a severe challenge to Crown Prince Salman’s economic transformation agenda.
