Ukrainian President Zelenskiy told Canadian Prime Minister Carney he had briefed
him on a recent Russian strike and thanked Canada. Zelenskiy said Ukraine did
not receive partner advance warnings about Russian ballistic missile launches,
the second such lapse this week. The attack damaged a Kyiv residential building,
igniting fires across floors 1–8; authorities report 1 dead and 6 injured. A
major Kyiv energy facility was also struck. Zelenskiy said Ukraine is in contact
with the U.S. and discussing possible diplomatic developments this week.
