Oracle urged federal regulators to promptly approve the Green Chile natural gas pipeline to meet fuel needs for its large New Mexico data-center Project Jupiter. In a letter to FERC, Oracle SVP Josh Pitcock said continued delay of the Energy Transfer LP subsidiary-run pipeline would threaten Project Jupiter’s construction schedule and associated jobs, economic activity and community benefits. The Green Chile line is expected to deliver roughly 400 million cubic feet/day to Bloom Energy fuel cells powering Project Jupiter; commissioning has slipped to February 2027 from an earlier Aug. 15 target.

India said on Wednesday it is drafting a national data center policy to manage rising electricity demand from rapid sector expansion — including AI infrastructure — and to prevent higher residential tariffs. Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada announced the plan but gave no details on scope or timing. Local opposition has emerged in cities including Mumbai and Visakhapatnam against Amazon and Google projects over water use, power strain and environmental impact. There is currently no dedicated national data center framework; projects are approved under existing environmental and building rules while some states offer incentives.
