Fuzhou Intermediate People’s Court (Fujian) issued a first-instance judgment in a dispute over the "Huiyuan" trademark. The court found Beijing Huiyuan Group Kaifeng Co., Ltd. and Beijing Huiyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. liable for trademark infringement and unfair competition, ordered them to stop the infringing conduct, cease use of the "Huiyuan" name, eliminate adverse effects, and jointly pay more than CNY97 mln in economic losses and rights-protection expenses.
