Kingboard Laminates Holdings (01888.HK) shares slid as much as 6% intraday and
closed at HKD42.36, down 5.23%, after the company issued its eighth
price-increase notice this year. The company is raising selling prices for
laminates and PP made with thin glass cloth (2116 and below) by 15%, citing
strong thin-cloth demand and tight upstream supply and sharp price rises in
glass fabric and yarn. Kingboard said the adjustment applies only to thin-cloth
products; thick-cloth products are not affected because thin-cloth raw-material
costs rose more.
