China's geographic information industry grew 5.9% in 2025, with total output
reaching CNY900.5 bln. The sector comprised about 269,000 firms, up 11.1% YoY,
and is transitioning from high-speed growth to a high-quality development phase,
forming an integrated chain across data collection, intelligent processing,
scenario applications and comprehensive services. Market dynamism is
concentrated in SMEs: 447 geographic information companies are designated as
'specialized, sophisticated, distinctive and innovative' "little giants",
accounting for 2.5% of all such firms.
