Oct 15 — China’s Foreign Ministry said at a regular briefing it had no additional comment after AFP asked about a Russian statement that Foreign Minister Lavrov handed Wang Yi a report in Baku alleging Ukrainian authorities orchestrated the 2022 Bucha incident and then blamed Russian forces. The ministry said it has already released information on Wang Yi’s meeting and has nothing further to add.

On the 15th South Korean shares fell sharply and the KOSDAQ dropped over 8%, triggering a level-1 circuit breaker at about 11:23:13 Beijing time. The Korea Exchange halted trading for 20 minutes, suspended new order submissions while allowing cancellations. KRX rule: a level-1 trigger occurs when KOSPI or KOSDAQ falls 8%+ from the prior close and the move persists for one minute. This is the first KOSDAQ level-1 trigger since July 29. Trading has been reinstated; the market will run a 10-minute call auction and is due to fully reopen at about 11:53:13 Beijing time.
