Apple plans to launch Apple Intelligence in China in December through an iOS
27.3 update, initially bringing AI features first released in the US two years
ago to iPhone, iPad and Mac; the rollout will not include this year’s new Siri
AI assistant. Apple will use a two-partner approach in China: Alibaba will
supply model capabilities integrated into Apple Intelligence for text and image
understanding and content generation across iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS for
Chinese users, while Baidu will provide software services embedded in Siri voice
assistant functions and Visual Intelligence.
