Shanghai deputy mayor Lu Shan said at a State Council Information Office
briefing that the 8th China International Import Expo showcased more than 3,400
new products, technologies and services. Shanghai has built a “6 days + 365
days” year‑round exhibition and sales mechanism: Hongqiao PinHui now aggregates
goods from over 120 countries, 6,000+ brands and about 85,000 SKUs mirroring
CIIE items; Greenland Global Commodity Trade Port has enabled first-time
Shanghai launches for 200+ overseas brands across eight editions, and an online
“365 exhibition & trade” platform links remote buyers. Lu said market feedback
from these product debuts has led an increasing number of exhibitors to move
from short-term participation to onshore investment, with some shifting from
traders to investors and adopting “China production, supply global” industry
models.
