South Korea’s special prosecution team investigating the emergency martial law incident asked the appellate court on the 16th to uphold a first-instance 30-year prison sentence for former president Yoon Suk-yeol for allegedly staging a drone incursion over Pyongyang.

Axios reports the Trump administration has sued California and two local election officials, alleging the state mailed mail-in ballots for November’s election to individuals who may be ineligible to vote. The complaint asks a court to bar inclusion of roughly 20,000 ballots until the voters’ citizenship can be verified. Investigators from USCIS and ICE compiled the list of potentially ineligible registrants using agency data plus Social Security Administration and State Department records. Similar federal noncitizen lists in Nevada, Pennsylvania and New Jersey were previously found to be unreliable.
