Despite ongoing fighting in the Middle East, the developer of Dubai Investment
Park, held by Dubai Investment Company, plans investor meetings Oct. 19-26 to
gauge demand for an IPO that could be the UAE's first this year, people familiar
with the matter said. The developer, founded in 1997 and covering about 2,300
hectares, is one of Dubai's largest mixed-use projects. Dubai Investment Company
has previously said it may sell a 24% stake via the IPO. Gulf IPO issuance has
collapsed this year amid the conflict and weaker markets; Gulf equities have
mostly fallen since the outbreak, with Dubai's benchmark down roughly 3%.
