Kiril Dmitriev, Russia's presidential special representative for foreign
investment and economic cooperation, said on the 17th that US President Donald
Trump's decision to waive multiple sanctions on Russia is "important and truly
historic." Dmitriev warned the sanctions law had risked fully disrupting
Russia-US economic cooperation and would have seriously damaged the US and
global economy. He said Moscow will continue economic dialogue with Washington
and argued such cooperation serves both countries' interests and supports global
economic stability.
