In a Sunday interview, US Energy Secretary wright said allowing Russian diesel
into global markets is meant to push Moscow to reduce hostilities in Ukraine,
not to provide economic support to Russia. He said if Russia cuts back on the
conflict and diesel exports resume, the US will permit those energy flows,
calling the deal a "carrot to end the war," not "Russia's economic lifeline."
