Bank of Japan Governor Ueda said if the central bank raises short-term policy rates, long-term yields may rise steadily alongside related policy measures.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova told RIA that Foreign Minister Lavrov met Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Manama during the ninth Russia–GCC strategic dialogue. Zakharova said participants will explore ways to deepen mutually beneficial ties with GCC members, including economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The last foreign‑minister‑level meeting in this format was held in Sochi in Sept 2025.
