GCL Group and China Jurong Group signed an LNG engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and tolling/contracted-processing agreement in Ethiopia on Oct. 16, following meetings with the newly appointed Ethiopian mines minister. The signatories—GCL Energy Investment Co.’s Ethiopia branch and Jurong Group (Holdings) Co.—said they will combine capabilities in oil and gas exploration, LNG capacity build, storage and transport to accelerate project delivery and to deepen cooperation on energy technology, equipment manufacturing, cross-border trade and low‑carbon initiatives.

On the 18th at midday local time Houthi forces published footage they say shows an AH-6i helicopter shot down in Saudi NAJRAN province on the Saudi-Yemen border in the early hours. A Saudi-led coalition spokesman, Turki al-Maliki, said on social media the AH-6i crashed in NAJRAN due to a technical fault, killing two crew members.
