Indonesian equities extended losses after MSCI announced last week it was considering a standalone market classification; the Jakarta Composite Index fell 4.7% to 4,941.63.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy accused U.S. President Trump of pressing Kyiv to surrender to Russia, saying Trump has conditioned additional Patriot air-defense missiles on Kyiv stopping strikes on Russian oil refineries. Zelenskiy said Washington has also taken unfriendly steps including deliberate throttling of Starlink bandwidth used by Ukrainian forces and delays in delivery of scarce Patriot interceptors. He said he believes measures have been taken to persuade Ukraine to capitulate and that it appears some U.S. partners may favor ending the war faster even at Ukraine’s expense.
