China's national energy-efficiency standard for photovoltaic modules takes
effect on Jan 1, 2027. With implementation under three months away, some
domestic buyers have already tightened procurement requirements and several
module makers have swapped bid SKUs. A leading supplier has pulled older PERC
modules from central SOE tenders and said it is reconfiguring its bid offerings.
Suppliers are prioritizing efficiency-compliant products for large domestic
contracts; non‑compliant modules will be excluded from bidding regardless of
price.
