Qatar’s deputy prime minister and minister of state for defence affairs warned at a Doha global security forum that the economic knock-on from Gulf energy supply disruptions “has not yet reached its peak,” and cautioned of further spillovers “in the coming days and months.” He flagged risks to east‑west global supply chains, potential spillover effects on Gulf investments in Europe and the US, and possible impacts on Gulf countries’ fiscal assistance to other states.
