On Oct. 19 at the opening of the 2026 Financial Street Forum, PBOC's Pan said international demand for the renminbi has strengthened amid market demand and shifting international and geopolitical conditions. He said the central bank will step up high‑quality policy support: better serve the real economy and ease trade and investment financing; expand the global supply of high‑quality renminbi assets and activate offshore renminbi product trading; and provide stable, multi‑tiered renminbi liquidity to offshore markets.
