The PBOC and other ministries issued guidance on financial support to develop Beijing (Jing‑Jin‑Ji), Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) and the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area into international tech‑innovation centres. The guidance promotes region‑specific tech‑finance systems: Beijing to prioritise original innovation and channel finance into major scientific infrastructure; Shanghai to leverage industrial‑cluster synergies and build a multi‑participant, co‑investment tech‑finance ecosystem; the Greater Bay Area to create an open tech‑finance regime and deepen high‑level financial interaction and regulatory alignment among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. It also requires stronger joint risk‑prevention and control mechanisms and stresses guarding against systemic financial risk.

HASSETT, director of the White House National Economic Council, said U.S. inflation appears to be re-emerging and still requires measures to address it.
