The PBOC plans to allow eight mainland and foreign offshore RMB clearing banks to conduct proprietary trading in the domestic interbank FX market, aligned with international market practice and trading conventions, to deepen offshore participation and promote onshore-offshore market integration. The central bank said it will consider broader FX-market opening based on the pilot's results.
