At Monday close US indexes were mixed: the Dow initially closed down 0.07%, the S&P 500 rose 0.4% and the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.1%. SK Hynix jumped 4.6% (SKHY.O), Micron Technology gained nearly 3% (MU.O), Tesla added 3.7% (TSLA.O) and Amazon rose nearly 5% (AMZN.O). The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index fell 0.26%; iQIYI slipped over 2% (IQ.O).

At its 2026 interim results briefing, Hongbo New Materials said a partnered nano-silicon project is undergoing orderly pilot-scale testing. The technical route differs from the industry mainstream and is highly innovative; whether or when it will enter commercial production is undecided and contingent on project progress. R&D remains at pilot stage and successful scale-up is uncertain and faces challenges.
