Iranian President Pezeshkian told Pakistan army chief Munir on the 20th that
regional tensions and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz stem from U.S.
aggression. He said Washington cannot simultaneously intensify sanctions,
pressure and a blockade and credibly seek dialogue. Pezeshkian said Iran is
willing to talk but only after the U.S. removes threats and sanctions, adding
that current U.S. actions contradict any stated desire for agreement. He warned
war would not achieve U.S. objectives and would cause damage across Iran and the
wider region.
