At the close, NYMEX November light sweet crude futures fell $1.87 to $101.79 a barrel (-1.8%); London Brent December futures fell $0.76 to $108.79 a barrel (-0.69%).

Iran foreign ministry spokesman BAGHAEI said the US and Israel have struck Iran twice in under nine months while negotiations were ongoing, citing killings in Minab and Ramehld, the targeted assassination of Iranian leaders, and stepped-up sanctions on the Iranian people.
