Hong Kong equities opened lower and slid, with the Hang Seng Index down over 1% and the Hang Seng Tech Index down over 2%; auto stocks led losses as NIO-SW (09866.HK), Li Auto (02015.HK) and XPeng (09868.HK) each fell more than 3%.
