An automated air-defence system able to destroy attacking drones for about
$10,000 apiece is helping Turkish defence exports expand in the Gulf and
Ukraine. Aselsan, Turkey's largest defence firm by market value, said CEO Ahmet
Akyol that its Korkut gun system is deployed in nine countries and has destroyed
"perhaps hundreds" of drones and can counter Shahed‑style suicide drones.
Governments are increasingly seeking affordable defences against mass drone
attacks.
