Market sources: Iraq is seeking to charter tankers to ship fuel oil to destinations outside the Strait of Hormuz.

Germany's Tax Experts Committee said on Thursday it now expects overall tax receipts for 2026–2030 to be €43.4bn higher than its May forecast (about $48.6bn). It estimates the federal government's share will rise by €3.3bn over the five years. The committee projects total government revenue of €997.9bn in 2026 and expects federal tax receipts in 2027 to be €4.1bn above the May forecast; that 2027 estimate excludes planned tax cuts because parliament has not approved them. Finance Minister said despite international uncertainty tax revenue should grow steadily in 2026, and while 2027 will offer no new fiscal leeway it also creates no new shortfall.

Micron Technology CTO Scott DeBoer said the company has evaluated 4F² storage technology for more than 20 years and currently has no plans to adopt it. He described 4F² as more complex and costlier with limited practical advantages, and said Micron will continue its current roadmap and focus on next‑generation 3D DRAM development.
