MOFCOM vice minister Jiang Chenghua said China faces headwinds to attracting
foreign investment but international investors remain broadly positive: last
month’s 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade drew delegations
from 129 countries/regions, 30 international organizations and more than 1,200
government and corporate groups, record highs. He said foreign reinvestment rose
to RMB93.99 bln in the first nine months, up 4.7% YoY, with reinvestment
projects continuing to land in artificial intelligence, biomedicine, aerospace
and green chemical sectors; the latest inward-investment mix shows industries
tied to new productive forces are becoming a new FDI track.
