At the midday close, China’s main futures contracts were mixed. Caustic soda fell over 5%, apples dropped more than 4%, and lithium carbonate and palladium were down over 3%; Shanghai silver and alumina slipped about 3%. On the upside, styrene (EB) gained over 3%, while methanol, fuel oil, low‑sulfur fuel oil (LU) and benzene rose more than 2%; SC crude oil advanced nearly 2%.
