The 74th chairpersons' meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing
Committee, chaired by Zhao Leji, met on the afternoon of Oct. 22 in Beijing and
set the 25th NPCSC session for Nov. 2-6 in Beijing. The meeting recommended the
25th session review drafts and proposals including: a Financial Law draft; a
State-owned Assets Law draft; a draft Anti-Cross-Border Corruption Law; a
Procuratorate Public Interest Litigation Law draft; proposed amendments to the
Criminal Procedure Law; a Water Law revision draft; a Renewable Energy Law
revision proposal from the NPC Environment and Resources Committee; State
Council proposals to revise the Tax Collection and Management Law and to amend
15 laws including the Emergency Response Law; an Antarctic Activities and
Environmental Protection Law draft; and a State Council proposal to approve the
agreement establishing a World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization.
