Defense One cited a senior PENTAGON official on the 20th saying the Pentagon plans to start expanding military facilities on the Danish autonomous territory of Greenland next year. The official said the Pentagon will use this winter to assess expansion options and aims to begin construction of new facilities next year. The upgrade is intended to support transport and fighter deployments and to accommodate additional personnel.

China will continue a minimum procurement price policy for wheat in major producing regions for the 2027–28 marketing year, the National Development and Reform Commission and other agencies said. The minimum procurement price for 2027–28 production wheat (grade‑3) is set at 119 yuan per 50 kg (2,380 yuan/tonne). The agencies said the price was set after considering production costs, market supply and demand, domestic and international prices and industry development, and will be adjusted through established procedures if production costs change materially.
