Oct 23 — China published its position on strengthening outer space governance, reaffirming adherence to international law and the Outer Space Treaty, and calling for development of related international rules on the basis of broad consensus. It stresses peaceful use of outer space, opposes weaponization and battlefield use, and objects to any state abusing its domestic law to obstruct other countries’ space activities or to impose unilateral sanctions.
