Oct 23 — At the closing of the 2026 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference in Beijing, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport and the Beijing municipal government, the report Research on the Governance Framework for the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry under New Conditions was formally released. Led by the Equipment Industry Development Center and produced by a 13‑member team of OEMs, tech firms and academic institutions over one year, the report defines a seven‑element governance framework — objectives, principles, governed entities, stakeholders, tools, mechanisms and outcomes — and broadens governance from whole vehicles to algorithmic models, charging and battery‑swap facilities and software upgrade systems, while extending the governance chain across the full product lifecycle to better accommodate rapid technology iteration.
