Yemen’s Houthi movement said on the 24th Saudi-led coalition airstrikes struck
the capital Sanaa and the Red Sea port of Mocha in Taiz province, causing
multiple casualties. A house in Asr in western Sanaa was hit, killing three and
wounding others, and a cement plant in Hamdan northwest of Sanaa was struck with
casualties. Mocha, near the strategic Bab al-Mandeb strait, was hit nearly 20
times since morning. The Saudi-led coalition had not responded to the strikes;
earlier the coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said it intercepted and
destroyed a ballistic missile fired by the Houthis toward Riyadh.
