Hong Kong-listed semiconductor stocks mostly fell: Huahong Hongli (01347.HK) dropped more than 7%, ASMPT (00522.HK) fell over 6%, and Biren Technology (06082.HK), Tianshu Zhixin (09903.HK) and GigaDevice (03986.HK) each declined more than 5%.

The China Consumers Association, the China Market Supervision and Management Society and the China Article Numbering Center said threshold discounts, pre-sales and livestream promotions are proliferating ahead of Singles' Day. Consumer complaints still focus on non-transparent pricing, complex rules and misleading marketing. The groups urged shoppers to verify prices and promotion terms before buying and to prioritise items they need over those that merely appear cheap.
