Weihai Co., Ltd reported Q3 revenue of 406 mln yuan, down 11.8% YoY, and net profit attributable to shareholders of 11.08 mln yuan, down 62.04% YoY; basic EPS 0.0097 yuan. For Jan–Sep, revenue was 1.018 bln yuan, down 21.1% YoY, and net profit attributable to shareholders 18.53 mln yuan, down 50.63% YoY; basic EPS 0.0162 yuan.

At the A-share open, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.53%, the Shenzhen Composite fell 0.97% and the ChiNext Index fell 1.43%. CPO, optical-fiber and PET copper-foil sectors led declines.

The China Consumers Association, the China Market Supervision and Management Society and the China Article Numbering Center said threshold discounts, pre-sales and livestream promotions are proliferating ahead of Singles' Day. Consumer complaints still focus on non-transparent pricing, complex rules and misleading marketing. The groups urged shoppers to verify prices and promotion terms before buying and to prioritise items they need over those that merely appear cheap.
