The Russian Defence Ministry said on social media on the 27th that early that day Russian forces used precision land-based weapons and drones in a large-scale strike on Kyiv, Kharkiv region and other areas, targeting Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises, transport and logistics infrastructure and vessels. It said strikes hit an industrial plant in Kyiv that produced and stored long- and medium-range drones and two assembly workshops, and a road-rail bridge used to move military materiel. In Kharkiv region the ministry said it struck a facility used to store and distribute reconnaissance and attack drones and military supplies, and hit a dry cargo ship en route to Chernomorsk port in Odesa region carrying supplies for Ukrainian forces.

Qatar's foreign ministry said the Qatari foreign minister met Japan's foreign minister in Tokyo today and that Qatar supports diplomatic efforts to ensure freedom of navigation and initiatives to pave the way for a comprehensive agreement toward lasting regional peace.
