Bloomberg reported the EU plans trade measures to curb imports from China of chemicals, furniture and machinery, potentially to be introduced in Q1 next year. China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun urged the EU to respect market-economy and fair-competition principles, avoid abusing trade remedies and take practical steps to keep China-EU economic ties healthy and stable.

China's ride‑hailing REG information exchange system said that as of Sept 30, 2026, 402 ride‑hailing platform companies held operating licences, unchanged month‑on‑month, and the system recorded 981 million orders in September. Among the top‑10 platforms by order volume, order compliance rates (orders where both driver and vehicle were licensed) ranked highest to lowest: Ruqi Chuxing, Fengyun Chuxing, Xixing Yueche, Xiangdao Chuxing, T3, Caocao, Yangguang Chuxing, Shouqi Yueche, Didi, Huaxiaozhu.
