Retail names were active: Shanghai Jiubai recorded a fifth consecutive limit-up, while Maoye Commercial and Guangbai hit daily limits. Shipping, airport and coal sectors strengthened. Semiconductors opened higher then slid, with Unigroup Guowei hitting limit-down. Aerospace and defense retreated, Hongdu Aviation hit limit-down. Biotech, communications equipment and computer hardware were among the weakest sectors.
