Iran supreme leader Mujtaba Khamenei met with Major General Rezai, secretary of
the Supreme National Security Council, and discussed managing the Strait of
Hormuz to safeguard national and regional security and deepening mutually
beneficial bilateral ties with neighbouring states. Khamenei said Iran's enemies
are in trouble due to sustained resistance, urged active, timely information
releases to sustain public mobilisation in defence, and called for
implementation of conditions set by Iranian officials to protect the rights and
interests of the Iranian people and the 'resistance front' as the path to ending
the war and the current 'neither war nor peace' status. Rezai said the security
council secretariat is advancing strategic policy, including plans to establish
regionally led arrangements and order.
