China's Taiwan Affairs Office said it will press ahead with implementing and
refining the ten cross‑strait measures authorised on April 12 to expand mainland
market access for Taiwan goods. The office cited recent Taiwan pomelo shipments
and an Oct. 23 Xiamen ceremony for Taiwan seafood imports, and said the measures
are being advanced with island counterparts on the political premise of the 1992
Consensus and opposition to Taiwan independence to help Taiwan agricultural and
fishery producers enter the mainland market and supply mainland consumers.
