Hong Kong exports rose 64.9% YoY in September to HKD 762.6 bln (about $97.8
bln), the Census and Statistics Department said on Wednesday. The rise, after a
53% YoY gain in August, was the 12th consecutive month of double‑digit growth
and the largest single‑month YoY increase in over 40 years. AI‑related products
further propelled recent export momentum. A HONG KONG GOVT spokesperson said
goods trade should continue to benefit from the current wave of AI investment
and resilient global demand.
