Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine Co., Ltd said its subsidiary Shandong Shengdi
Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd has received an approval notice from the National
Medical Products Administration to begin clinical trials of HRS-2189 tablets and
will start trials shortly. HRS-2189 is a novel KAT6 inhibitor that downregulates
oncogene expression by inhibiting histone lysine acetylation and is being
developed for advanced malignant tumors. No other KAT6-targeting drug is
currently approved domestically or abroad. R&D investment in the HRS-2189
program to date totals about 55.3 mln yuan.
