Oct 28 — MOFCOM convened a national teleconference in Beijing to review implementation of the consumer-goods trade-in program and deploy next-step tasks. MOFCOM said that since 2026 the programme, coordinated with regional authorities and other departments, has driven over 2 tln yuan in related sales and benefited more than 250 mln people, supporting consumption growth, industrial upgrading and circular recycling.

The Kremlin said on Oct. 27 that President Putin met Iranian President Pezeshkian in Moscow during the Gas Exporting Countries Forum summit. They discussed the Middle East and said they hope the situation moves in a positive direction. Putin noted Russia-Iran trade rose 10.4% in the first eight months of the year and that construction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant continues. This was their third meeting this year.
