Indonesia will establish a dedicated agency to accelerate investment approvals in the oil and gas sector, the energy minister said on Wednesday. Coordinating Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said the body will be granted broad powers, including licensing approvals, to cut red tape and improve the investment climate. Parliament has submitted a draft revision of the 2001 oil and gas law; the government will complete a clause-by-clause response and begin joint deliberations soon. Officials say the amendment aims to support Indonesia’s goal of energy self-sufficiency, a presidential priority.

CITIGROUP says ASMPT (00522.HK) reported Q3 revenue HKD 5.247 bln, up 49% YoY and 6% QoQ, driven by advanced packaging, SEMI mainstream and SMT; revenue matched prior guidance of USD 630–690m.
