Following an Oct 15 domestic fuel-price reset, rising Middle East tensions
pushed international crude sharply higher. To blunt the domestic impact,
authorities have intervened in refined-fuel pricing. Under the current pricing
formula, gasoline and diesel (standard) would rise 440 yuan/t and 420 yuan/t
respectively; implemented increases are capped at 345 yuan/t and 335 yuan/t.
Change effective 24:00 on Oct 29.
